Great, timely post. As one who is currently living a somewhat peripatetic life, moving frequently, and learning to live in pared-down style, your post resonates. Spot-on as always! And you're developing your 'voice' and style brilliantly. Podcasts, anyone?

This comes at an eerily perfect time for me. I am moving from my 1,500 square foot house to (essentially) a backpacking backpack and a storage unit before deciding where I will land next. I have been selling EVERYTHING that I do not know to be useful everyday or absolutely love. I have sold almost every item of furniture in my house on Facebook Marketplace and every new owner is thrilled! There is always a grand plan for the item. I even had a rummage sale with some free items that have been rehomed to people who are excited about the stuff. It's a new kind of dopamine hit even better than shopping :)

I am very much looking forward to your thoughts on photos/cameral roll management! It's an never ending battle for me and it annoys me so much to know I have 10k photos on my phone, most of which are useless, but stuck somewhere in between are these little golden nuggets I have to scroll endlessly to find.

We just moved into a new home and your posts are so helpful as we nest and organize. Your vision for a sustainable system that is beautiful, simple, and doesn't require a huge financial investment is inspiring! You're right--I haven't seen this perspective elsewhere on home organization blogs and websites--so thanks for filling the niche. We have two toddlers, so I resonate with your reflections about orienting the house for your children, too. Keep writing!
